From Emily Faherty, your About Books & Literature Editor
This week, we're taking a look back at some of the books that were made into movies in 2013 to see how they really stacked up against the originals. What's making its way to theaters in 2014, you ask? We've got that too, so you can be sure to read ahead of the release dates (as a true bookworm should).

'Safe Haven'
Our book reviewer enjoyed Safe Haven, a romantic Nicholas Sparks novel set in a small Southern coastal town, calling it "complex, more gothic tale than usual." But did moviegoers feel the same way about the film version starring Julianne Hough and Josh Duhamel?

'Enders Game'
Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card was first published in 1985, but it only just hit theaters this November. Can the film adaptation (and the star power of Harrison Ford) capture the adventure of the award-winning science fiction classic?

'Catching Fire'

What's Coming to Theaters in 2014?
There are plenty of great books (and that one piece of erotica) already slated with 2014 movie release dates. Consider this your latest books-to-movies reading list:
