From Megan Romer, your About Books & Literature Editor
We are one of the eleventy kajillion families whose travel plans have been mangled by the Snowpocalypse. Luckily, this just means that we're stranded at one relative's house for a couple of extra days. This relative has a fireplace and a couple of big, cozy chairs. We'll be fine.

Children's Books About Winter and Snow
If you've got little ones near you, and you can tear them away from their stack of new holiday toys for a moment, a read-aloud session with one of these great classic snowy-day books would surely make for a lovely and cozy afternoon.

Jack London's 'The Call of the Wild'
Maybe you're in the mood for a wintry classic. The Call of the Wild is always worthy of a re-read, and is absolutely on the must-read list if you haven't already.

'The Englishman Who Posted Himself & Other Curious Objects'
Or perhaps you'd just like to get away. Maybe you should try mailing yourself. No, seriously. This guy did it. At the very least, if you didn't already leave your friendly mail carrier a kind holiday gift, he or she would likely get a kick out of this nonfiction book about a fellow who did exactly as the title describes.
