David Foster Wallace and I were born in the same town, which is apropos of nothing, but I like to tell people about it anyway.

Review: 'The Pale King' by David Foster Wallace
Fittingly released on April 15, The Pale King is a difficult but splendid read, following the twisted, turning stories of characters who will ultimately convene at an IRS Examination Center in 1985. Sadly, it's a posthumous release, but a wonderful one.

David Foster Wallace Biography
Learn more about this master of hilarious and slightly convoluted prose, who died much too young.

'A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again'
If Wallace's thousand-page opus, Infinite Jest, is a bit much for you to tackle, perhaps these short(er) essays are more your speed. This is the ideal book to take on a cruise. (Snicker, snicker...)

More Books by David Foster Wallace
Or maybe you'd prefer short stories or other long fiction -- it's all here. Any way you squeeze it, David Foster Wallace is one of the great voices of our time, and if you haven't read any of his work, there's no time like the present.
